Siouxsie and the Banshees were an influential British post-punk band led by Siouxsie Sioux. Known for their dark, atmospheric sound blending punk, gothic rock, and new wave, they became icons of the 1980s, with hits like "Spellbound" and "Cities in Dust," shaping alternative music's evolution. 

Siouxsie and the Banshees were formed in London in 1976 by vocalist Siouxsie Sioux and bass guitarist Steven Severin. They were widely influential, both over their contemporaries and later acts.
