RATTLESNAKE Punk & Metal Merch Since '89

Still Going Strong with MEET AND GREETS and FILMMAKING Along the Way

During a trip to London in 1989, Beate, the founder of RATTLESNAKE, returned with three large bags full of cool band shirts, interesting fashion from the punk and goth scenes, and various studded accessories.

She had found these treasures in shops at the legendary Kensington Market, Carnaby Street, and Camden Market. Beate graduated from high school in 1983 and then embarked on a career with jobs at MEKI and WEA Records.

In 1989, she took the plunge and opened her own shop, RATTLESNAKE, in a small location. The store quickly gained a reputation as the premier destination for punk, underground, and metal merchandise.

In 2001, the shop moved to Kirchengasse 3 in Vienna's 7th district, where Beate's husband Declan moved in with his TATTOO & PIERCING studio.

EPIC MEET & GREETS & Band visits

BMTH, SUM 41, OMAM, ALL TIME LOW, ARCHITECTS ,...

Between 2008 and 2015, RATTLESNAKE was the place where music met pure energy.

Unforgettable meet & greets were held with some of the biggest names in the alternative and metalcore scene – SUM 41, OF MICE & MEN, CALIBAN, ESCAPE THE FATE, CANCER BATS, YOUR DEMISE , and SUICIDE SILENCE all stopped by RATTLESNAKE . Fans will never forget the day WHILE SHE SLEEPS played an intimate acoustic set right in the storefront – an experience like that doesn't come along every day!

ALL TIME LOW and ARCHITECTS thought it was so cool that they came back not once, not twice, but three times to sign autographs and hang out with their fans.

But the crown jewel ?
BRING ME THE HORIZON – the guys from Sheffield/UK, now global rock giants – held their first ever and a total of six legendary meet & greets at RATTLESNAKE .

These moments weren't just special—they were epic.
